TOMO supports pupils with identified SEMH and SEND needs, including:

• Difficulties with emotional regulation, anxiety, and heightened stress responses
• Challenges sustaining attention, engagement, and readiness to learn in traditional classroom settings
• Difficulties with social communication, peer relationships, and trust in adults
• Reduced self-esteem, low confidence as learners, and negative associations with education
• Sensory processing differences requiring low-stimulus, flexible learning environments

The outdoor setting and neurodivergent-friendly indoor classroom are both designed to reduce barriers to learning and support pupils' individual sensory, emotional and developmental needs.

To meet the identified needs and outcomes, TOMO delivers:

• Daily structured curriculum learning, with a morning focus on English and Maths delivered in a calm, neurodivergent-friendly indoor classroom
• Small group or individualised teaching, adapted to pupil age, ability, and EHCP outcomes
• Regular emotional check-ins, visual timetables, and predictable routines to support regulation
• Applied outdoor learning and Forest School activities to reinforce academic learning, develop social skills, and support wellbeing
• Opportunities for movement, sensory regulation, and safe risk-taking embedded throughout the day
• Robust safeguarding and risk management, including dynamic risk assessments for outdoor and tool-based activities
• Ongoing assessment and monitoring, with regular communication and review meetings with schools, families and the Local Authority
