This is a very special place. It brings out the best in everyone.
I see a totally different side to this pupil. In the classroom, I feel like I'm always nagging him - but out here, he's so focused.
We never hear pupils saying, "I can't do it" or, "This is too tricky for me" in this setting.
In the classroom, this child is quick to give up. When he was helping to build the bridge, he showed a resilience and determination I didn't know he had.
On average, this pupil can't go more than ten seconds without interfering with another child. In the forest, he has worked collaboratively and harmoniously for nearly three hours.
My child comes home and actually tells me about their day - in detail!
I know she'll sleep so much better after a day in the forest.
I'm so grateful to know my daughter spends a whole day without looking at her phone. She's so chatty when she gets home.
He used to be really uptight about getting dirty. Now, it seems the muddier his clothes, the happier he is.
